Our successful choir season ended with an absolutely S-U-P-E-R performance at Navy Pier, where we performed two 45-minute shows on the Dock Street Stage on Saturday, June 20th. As people strolled the pier, a large crowd gathered and stayed to listen to our kids perform. “Wow! Who are these kids and where are they from?” were the frequent questions and buzz heard from the audience. It was clear they enjoyed what they were seeing and hearing. We have already been invited back for next year and really look forward to making our performance at Navy Pier an annual event!
On Saturday, May 2nd, the Kankakee Valley Performance Choir performed at the dedication of the Bourbonnais Freedom Sign. The choir opened the ceremonies with the National Anthem, and also performed The Battle Hymn of the Republic in conjunction with the Kankakee New Horizons Band.
